FRSC Explores Partnership for UN Youth Day Commemoration

FCT Sector Commander, Corps Commander Felix Theman, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Emmanuel Ayodele, Minister of Youth and Development, to discuss potential partnership opportunities for the upcoming United Nations Youth Day commemoration.

The proposed programme aims to bring together youths from diverse backgrounds to sensitize them on crash prevention strategies, leveraging a youth-friendly approach. Road traffic crashes are a leading cause of death and injuries among young people, making this initiative crucial.

During the visit, Corps Commander Theman briefed the Minister on the project’s objectives, highlighting the importance of collaboration in promoting Road Safety awareness among youths.

The partnership is expected to enhance the impact of the programme and contribute to reducing road crashes among young people.

This years international Youth Day is expected to hold 12th of August every year all over the world
