FRSC Strengthens Road Safety Partnership as Corps Marshal Decorates Governor Ododo, Receives 10 Electric Patrol Bikes

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recorded another major milestone in its drive to institutionalise road safety governance across Nigeria as the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, FCA, formally invested the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as the Patron of the FRSC Special Marshals in Kogi State.

The colourful investiture ceremony, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Lokoja, showed the growing partnership between the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Kogi State Government towards improving road safety and protecting lives on one of Nigeria’s busiest transportation corridors.

In a remarkable demonstration of his administration’s commitment to safer roads, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo donated 10 electric patrol motorcycles to the Federal Road Safety Corps to strengthen traffic control, enhance enforcement operations and improve rapid response to emergencies across Kogi State.

The donation was received by the Corps Marshal on behalf of the Corps and described the gesture as a strategic investment that will significantly boost operational effectiveness within the State.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Governor dedicated the investiture to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in recognition of his visionary leadership, absolute support for the Federal Road Safety Corps and sustained commitment to strengthening institutions working to safeguard the lives of Nigerians.

On his part, the Corps Marshal commended Governor Ododo for demonstrating exemplary leadership by not only accepting the responsibility of serving as Patron of the Special Marshals in Kogi State but also making a tangible contribution to enhancing the Corps’ operational capacity through the donation of the electric patrol motorcycles.
