Osanipin Bags Leadership Peace Award of Excellence.

On the 14th of March 2025,

The Director General of National Automotive design and Development Council, Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin was honoured with Leadership Peace Award of Excellence by the Coalition of Nigeria women Forum for Peace and Good Governance on the Friday 14th March 2025.

The Award was bestowed on him in Recognition and Appreciation of his outstanding contributions to the promotion of peace, unity, good governance, women and youth empowerment, humanitarian services, project Nigeria, purposeful leadership for the benefit of country and humanity at large.

The award is not just a Recognition of personal excellence, but a testament to the transformative leadership that has repositioned the NADDC towards fulfilling its mandate of developing a globally competitive technology driving and locally sustainable automotive industry in Nigeria. Under his leadership, the Council has demonstrated a renewed commitment to promoting the auto sector through inclusive governance and empowering women in the Industry.Speaking at the award event, the President of the group, Amb. Ruth Ishaka Bang commended the pragmatic leadership of the Director General and his team.“This recognition also extends to his dedicated team, whose commitment and expertise have been instrumental in repositioning the council to achieve its goals. A visionary leader is only as strong as the team that stands behind him. As we celebrate this achievement, we also advocate for greater inclusion of women in the Council initiatives” she said.”The automotive industry has the potential to empower women through employment, entrepreneurship, policies and programs that support women in technical and vocational training, equipping them with the skills needed to participate in the automotive industry” she exclaimed.Responding , Osanipin appreciated their efforts and commended the group for being relentless and committed to contribute towards increasing productivity in the sector and fostering sustainable development and growth in the country. He pledged to continue to support and encourage inclusiveness in activities that benefits women and the country at large..This dogged determination by women to play significant roles in the auto industry, will not only strengthen the sector, but also create a more inclusive and diverse workforce that contributes meaningfully to Nigeria’s industrial growth
