Road Safety Ember Months Campaign: Special Marshal’s National Coordinator Advises Drivers to Time Their Trip

As part of the ongoing Ember Months Campaign, the Special Marshals Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is continuing its annual Road Safety Campaign to reduce accidents and promote safe driving practices on Nigerian roads.

The National Coordinator of the FRSC’s Special Marshals, SM Adaji Usman (FCILG), featured as a Special Guest on Africa Independent Television (AIT) on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 8:30 am. During the live broadcast, SM Usman shared valuable insights and tips on Road Safety, emphasizing the need for drivers to time their trips carefully to avoid the risks associated with fatigue and reckless driving.

“Timing Your Trip is crucial to ensuring your safety on the road,” SM Adaji Usman (FCILG) said. “As we approach the Ember months, we urge all road users to prioritize caution, plan their journeys, and avoid driving when tired or fatigued. By doing so, we can reduce the number of accidents on our roads and ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for all.”

The FRSC’s Ember Months Campaign aims to reduce road crashes and promote a culture of safety among road users.

The Corps will continue to engage with various stakeholders, including motorists, pedestrians, and commercial drivers, to raise awareness about Road Safety and to promote best practice.
