The Presidency & NADDC set to Empower more Youth on Skill Acquisition

NADDC & THE PRESIDENCY TO EMPOWER MORE YOUTH ON SKILL ACQUISITION.

The Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative Monitoring and Delivering, Titilope Gbadamosi, on Tuesday 30th January, 2024, paid a Courtsey visit to the Director General NADDC. Ms Gbadamosi said, young Nigerians have been identified to benefit from the periodic mechatronics training programme of NADDC, hence her visit.

The Presidency and the Council had elaborate collaborate discussions on engagement and sponsorship of more Nigerian youth on skill acquisition via the Council’s Mechatronics Training Programme.

Gbadamasi expressed the eagerness of the Presidency to partner with the Council in view of NADDC’s pivotal role in driving the economy with modern technology, adding that the aim is to engage and up skill the Nigerian youth in the line of mechatronics.

The NADDC Chief seized the opportunity to highlight the recent achievements of the Council, with reference to the training and equipping of about 30,000 youth nationwide with work tools and certificates.

Osanipin further explained that the Council conceived the establishment of Automotive Training Centers (ATCs) across the six geopolitical zones in order to ensure the best skill development and standard practices in the automotive sector of the Country, He added that the training is also aimed at redefining the nation’s auto industry, enlightenment of professional mechanics on modern technology, job provision and employment in skill among technicians which would ensure prompt and efficient repairs and maintenance of vehicles while ensuring the safety of the mechanics, vehicles and environment.

The Director General expressed his gratitude to the team and reiterated the Councils commitment to partner with other relevant stakeholders to drive the local auto industry to its well- deserved place globally.
