Tragedy as not fewer than 19 persons lost their lives on the highway crash in Kano

Tragedy struck early this Saturday as not fewer than 19 persons returning from the National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State lost their lives in a ghastly auto crash.

The fatal auto crash occurred in Dakstalle town, about 50 kilometres to Kano, involving members of the Kano State contingent who were returning from the sports event which took place in Ogun state this May.

Among the dead were athletes, a Journalist, medical personnel, and administrators who had participated in the festival.The accident threw the entire Kano sporting community into mourning as News of the tragedy incident spread across the state.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the crash remains sketchy.
