The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, on September unveiled the 2026 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models at the plant of Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited, DPAN, in Kaduna.

The Governor described the rollout of the new models as a clear demonstration of DPAN’s commitment to innovation, local manufacturing, and the expansion of Nigeria’s automotive industry.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, Senator Sani said investments of such scale were critical to driving industrial development, technology transfer, job creation, and economic growth in the state and the country at large.“This milestone reflects the confidence of the private sector in Kaduna State as an industrial hub, as a government, we remain committed to supporting credible investors who are creating jobs and strengthening our industrial base_,” the Governor said.

In a show of support, Governor Sani announced that his administration would hand over the official Certificate of Occupancy for the company’s land to DPAN management.

He further pledged to engage his fellow governors across the 36 states to mobilize broader support and patronage for vehicles assembled by DPAN nationwide.

The Managing Director of DPAN, along with other senior management staff, received the Governor and conducted him round the assembly line where the New 3008 and 5008 SUV models were displayed.

Industry stakeholders present at the event commended the Kaduna State Government for creating an enabling environment for manufacturing, noting that DPAN’s expansion aligns with the Federal Government’s Automotive industrialization and CNG mobility agenda.

The 2026 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 are expected to hit Nigerian roads in the coming months, with DPAN positioning them for both government and private sector fleets.
