Prof Olamakinde Olapegba a FRSC Special Marshal has been appointed Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan

The University of Ibadan Governing Council has appointed Igboora-born Prof. Olamakinde Olapegba as the 14th Vice Chancellor of the 78-year-old citadel of learning.

Professor Makinde Peter Olapegba   is a Special Marshal at the University of Ibadan Unit Co-ordinator in Oyo State.

Born on January 26, 1970, in Igboora, Oyo State, Prof. Olapegba built his entire academic foundation at the University of Ibadan, earning his B.Sc. (1997), M.Sc. (1999), and Ph.D. (2008) in Psychology.

Before reaching the pinnacle of the university’s leadership, he served in various critical capacities within the institution, including as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration). He is also a Fellow of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (FSPSP) and the Nigerian Psychological Association (FNPA).

Prof. Olamakinde Olapegba is a distinguished Nigerian academic and a Professor of Applied Social Psychology at the University of Ibadan.
Until his appointment, he served as DVC administration.
