SMT Nigeria has delivered a brand new Dynapac Worldwide SD2500CS wheeled paver to support an ongoing road project in Abuja, in a move aimed at improving paving speed, quality, and flexibility on site.

The equipment, commissioned and handed over recently, comes equipped with a V6000 screed with a base laying width of 3 to 6 meters. With hydraulic extensions, the paver can achieve a maximum laying width of up to 7.5 meters, allowing contractors to cover wider carriageways in fewer passes and reduce project timelines.

Industry experts say the SD2500CS is designed for high productivity on medium to large road projects. Its V6000 screed provides excellent surface finish and compaction, while the machine’s advanced controls and maneuverability make it suitable for Nigeria’s urban and highway construction demands.

As part of the delivery process, a certified Dynapac trainer conducted comprehensive on-site training for the customer’s operators and maintenance technicians. The sessions covered machine operation, screed setup, daily checks, troubleshooting, and best practices for asphalt laying to ensure optimal performance and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

The Abuja delivery marks another milestone in SMT Nigeria’s partnership with Dynapac and reinforces growing confidence in the brand among Nigerian contractors. Earlier this year, the same customer acquired two Dynapac CA30 soil compactors from SMT Nigeria for earthworks and sub-base compaction on separate projects.Speaking on the delivery, SMT Africa noted that the continued patronage reflects the trust customers place in SMT Nigeria for reliable equipment, after-sales support, and technical training.“SMT Africa thanks the customer for their trust and wishes the teams every success on this project in Abuja,” the company stated. “We remain committed to supporting Nigeria’s infrastructure development with world-class equipment and expertise.”The deployment of the SD2500CS paver is expected to accelerate progress on the Abuja road project while delivering a smoother, more durable asphalt finish in line with federal road standards.

With Nigeria’s road sector under renewed focus through the PBAT Road Revolution, equipment suppliers like SMT Nigeria say they are positioning to meet rising demand for modern, efficient machines that can deliver quality within tight schedules.
